We had a blast at the Studio Party! We're so glad so many friends and supporters came out to help us party down and celebrate our two newest designs with a glass of boozy beverage and a whole lotta fun.

We also love having a joint party with our neighbor, Jonathon of Napkin Art Studios. Jonathan came to our grand opening studio party, and loved the space so much that he moved his poster printing and design shop into the studio space next door. So this party was technically his first grand opening party.

There was so much mingling and fun being had, that we forgot to take many pics  (this tends to be a reoccurring theme with us), but here's a few images we snapped of the night. We were also very fortunate to have Arianna from Lavander + Pink stop by with her friends and snap a couple pics for a recap on her blog. Arianna also did a beautiful recap of the Dallas Flea, check it out.

The MerJack photo cut out was ready to greet everyone at the door.

Dowdy Studio wall. Pamela created a feature for our two newest designs out of masking tape alone.

Our clipboard print wall. The image is horribly lit, but we spray painted sections of the clipboards with gold, yellow and teal to make some interesting frames for the prints.

The Dowdy Studio Wagon!! And in the corner, our Mermaid cut out.

Looking good Mer-People!!

Our awesome friends Preston and Bryan kept the local Rahr & Sons beer flowing, and partied right along with everyone. Thanks barkeeps!

 And party times began!

Thanks so much for coming out to see our new artwork and party! We love you guys!!

We are in a studio party fury of fun as we get ready for another Dowdy Studio Party! We hope you'll come join us this Saturday at our studio for a double studio party, you wont want to miss!

Saturday, Sept 22
6pm - 9pm

Join us 3 artists in our quest to party in our side-by-side East Dallas studios. We'll have free beers to sling back, snacks and drinks for you to munch on, along with some fun surprises, and quirky photo opts. In between drinks, mingling with us, and having fun, Dowdy Studio will have it's Dowdy Studio Wagon open to shop in, and Napkin Art Studio will have a variety of silkscreened band posters and art prints available to purchase.

Be among the first to see new artwork from both studios. Napkin Art Studios will be debuting limited prints of his newest art, and the Dowdy Studio duo will be debuting their newest tee and art print design. Both Dowdy Studio And Napkin Art Studios will be donating proceeds from sales of their newest prints to benefit arts programs for kiddos, so they can grow up to be awesome adults.

Weekend recap in pix

Saturday morning started out at the White Rock Local Market. Since we pulled double events on Saturday, we went full blown pop-up tent for the market. Without the Wagon we took up less space, so we invited Dad Dowdy to bring out some of his furniture pieces to show off. Dad Dowdy has been getting ready for the Dallas Flea this upcoming weekend, so we thought this market would be a great chance for him to show off a few new pieces.

Just a shot of our display that Dylan built. The Dowdy Studio sign was made the night before, very last minute, but we think it turned out pretty cool. We may have to use it again.

Immediately after the White Rock Market, the Untapped Festival in West Dallas kicked off. The whole fest was jam-packed with great bands, lots of beer, awesome food trucks and so much fun. We heard the fest was sold out even before doors opened, so if you're thinking of going to this next time, buy them tickets whenever they go up for sale. Seriously, you don't want to miss it.

From the steps of the Wagon, we got to watch the Antlers, the Givers and Akron/Family do their thing. No complaints at all.

Night time pic. My phone camera is totally weak mode. Sorry for the blursville pic.

On Monday we found Pamela in in Dallas Observer's People of Untapped slideshow. Hi Pamela!

That's all the pics we have until this weekend. So come see us at the Dallas Flea at South Side on Lamar on Saturday. We'll have the Wagon out front, and we can't wait to see you!

During the daylong event, craft beer and music lovers will unite for a day of both live performances and over 100 beers from 30+ breweries.
