Get to know your Bolsa

This Saturday and Sunday we'll be taking our mobile shop, the Dowdy Studio Wagon, over to one of our favorite food stops, Bolsa Cafe. Bolsa is an Oak Cliff gem. If you haven't been, well then GET OVER THERE and eat & drink as much as you can! If you have been, then AWESOME! Go again this weekend.

What makes Bolsa unique isn't just their mouth watering dishes, tasty tasty mixed drinks, and their large chill patio and inside/outside bar, but their attention to details in everything they make. I guess that's what makes us really appreciate them, since we like to do basically the same thing, just with art, not edibles.

Their attention to detail starts with their ingredients selection. Instead of zooming over to the general restaurant supply food shop, they hand select all their ingredients from local farmers and growers. They even rotate the menu seasonally to have the freshest and tastiest selections. Sprinkle in a top chef, Jeff Harris, to artistically put it all together, and they master putting all the awesome in their dishes and drinks.
To top off their awesome, we'll be open to the public right outside their front door selling our art, tees and handmade goodness. Join us!

Sat - 11am-2pm & 5pm - 9pm
Sun - 11am - 2pm (brunch!)
614 West Davis Dr. Dallas, TX

Now here's some teasers of some of their previous dishes from their facebook page:

Weekend Recap - Deep Ellum Outdoor Market and Lotus Yoga Pop-Up Shop

This past weekend we enjoyed ourselves some Deep Ellum Outdoor Market and A Pop-Up Art Shop at Lotus Yoga in Dallas.  Both events were mega fun and we enjoyed meeting new folks, as well as hanging out with some old friends.

Dylan set up the Dowdy Wagon at the Deep Ellum Market. We were thrilled to neighbor the Good Luck Food Truck in our own little mini-mobile market.

Pamela spent the day at Lotus Yoga for our pop-up shop with La Alicia, Cut Out and Collect and Tefi, all local artists and great friends of ours. Their yoga space was a no shoes zone, so it made for a great casual environment, especially when we all retired from standing and plopped down on some yoga pillows on the floor.

Wanna see more pics? Check out our facebook page and browse all the pics we took this weekend. (click here)

See you guys next Sunday when we'll be taking the Dowdy Wagon out to the Better Block Project on Ross Ave in Dallas for Ross Ramblas!! Check out our Calendar for all the details.

Cheers!

Bolsa Dance Party!

Just after set up and in between the lunch and dinner rush at Bolsa Cafe, we had a few minutes to shoot film for our newest dance videos. Hope you like.

Take notes because these are solid dance moves and you will probably see them on tv or something one day.

Thanks for watching us dance! We hope to make some new dance videos this weekend as we pop-open the Wagon at Indie Genius in Oak Cliff on Saturday and Sunday.
